Team Lead / Senior Technical QA — Architecture, BIM, or Construction Delivery Background

Remote | Philippines | Full-Time Contractor

Oliant is looking for a strong Team Lead / Senior Technical QA professional in the Philippines to lead a growing remote team supporting construction technology, AI-assisted workflows, data quality, and project delivery.

This is not a basic QA role. We are looking for someone who understands construction drawings, project delivery, technical coordination, and quality standards — and who can lead a team with structure, patience, accountability, and strong communication.

The ideal candidate may come from an Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, BIM, construction coordination, or technical QA background.

About the Role

As a Team Lead / Senior Technical QA, you will manage a team of junior technical QA associates and delivery specialists working across multiple projects. Your main responsibility is to ensure that the team produces accurate, timely, and high-quality work.

You will review project outputs, guide team members, identify quality issues, improve delivery processes, and act as the first escalation point when something needs clarification or correction.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical construction knowledge with people leadership, quality control, and process improvement.

What You’ll Do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a team of junior technical QA associates and delivery specialists.

  • Own the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of the team’s deliverables.

  • Review work before it reaches the client or senior stakeholders.

  • Ensure data accuracy, reporting consistency, and adherence to project standards.

  • Help team members interpret construction drawings, 3D models, markups, RFIs, redlines, comments, and other technical documents.

  • Support weekly workload planning and help assign team members based on project needs, skill level, and capacity.

  • Maintain internal trackers, project status updates, and delivery documentation.

  • Provide structured feedback to team members.

  • Train junior team members on workflows, drawing interpretation, QA standards, platform usage, and delivery expectations.

  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.

  • Escalate blockers, risks, and quality concerns early.

  • Coordinate with other remote teams involved in project setup, configuration, mapping, QA, and delivery.

  • Participate in client-facing or internal stakeholder meetings when needed.

  • Help create a culture of ownership, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

You should apply if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related construction / technical field.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, including architectural plans, sections, MEP layouts, structural drawings, fit-out details, and site-related documentation.

  • Experience with BIM, construction coordination, project delivery, technical QA, or quality control.

  • Experience reviewing technical work for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to catch mistakes before they become client-facing issues.

  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Experience leading, mentoring, training, or coordinating other team members.

  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Confidence working with spreadsheets, trackers, reports, and structured project data.

  • Ability to learn new tools, platforms, and workflows quickly.

Helpful Experience

The following experience is helpful, but not all are required:

  • Autodesk Revit

  • AutoCAD

  • Navisworks / NWD model navigation

  • BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud

  • Bluebeam

  • Procore

  • Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel

  • Primavera P6 or ASTA Powerproject

  • Construction progress tracking

  • QA process design

  • Data validation

  • AI-assisted workflows

  • Remote team leadership

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Detail-oriented and quality-driven.

  • Calm under pressure.

  • Clear and respectful when giving feedback.

  • Comfortable holding people accountable without micromanaging.

  • Proactive in raising risks, blockers, and process gaps.

  • Able to explain complex technical issues in simple terms.

  • Fair, patient, and supportive with junior team members.

  • Comfortable working with changing priorities.

  • Interested in technology, AI, construction data, and modern digital workflows.

Compensation

  • Starting compensation: $950 – $1,100 USD/month, depending on experience and interview performance.

  • Strong candidates with proven leadership, BIM, construction coordination, or QA management experience may be considered up to: $1,200 USD/month.

  • Compensation is reviewed based on performance, reliability, quality of work, leadership, communication, and business needs.

This is a full-time contractor role. Weekend or rest-day work may be required depending on project needs and will be handled separately according to the project schedule and applicable rate structure.

  • Location: Fully remote, Philippines

  • Type: Full-time contractor
